Diana Krall/Christmas Songs
This is a wonderful disc for the Christmas
season. Krall, in her typical sultry voice croons 12 traditional
carols backed by the tight swinging Clayton-Hamilton Jazz
Orchestra. Her voice is one of those you either love or hate. Even
if you hate it, the band and the production will almost make up for it.
You will be tapping your foot or moving your body more than ususal - after
all, these are only Christmas Carols, right? Her piano playing is
good, but not great. If you are familiar with her other albums this
compares well.
